For example, when using 4s lithium batteries, the voltage is about 14.8v in normal use. Adopting linear voltage regulation mode, the power supply must input 1A current to output 5V/1A current. Therefore, there will be 14.8V x 1A = 14.8W power consumed on BEC. However, the actual useful output of BEC is only 5V x 1A=5W, so the overall efficiency is only 5/14.8= 33.8%. Besides, the power consumption of 9.8W will be converted into heat, which will cause BEC overheating and the chip entering the protection state and fail to work. Adopting sw power supply mode, the actual tests show that there is only need to input 0.38A current to output 5V/1A current.
