Package Contents: Neti Pot 20 Saline Solution Packets, 2.5 g Each Instructions (read before use!) Supplement Facts: Saline Solution Salt 99.99% sodium chloride Contains no additives or preservatives. How to Use the Ceramic Neti Pot 1. Mix 1 packet (1/2 teaspoon) of Squip Salt with 1 cup (8 oz.) of warm sterilized or distilled water* into the neti pot. 2. Stir the solution to ensure the salt is fully dissolved. Alternatively, mix the saline solution in a measuring cup. 3. Stand over a bathroom sink or use in the shower. Put the tip of the neti pot against the nose so that it seals the nostril. Tilt your head slightly to the side. Breathe normally through the mouth (or say aaaah...) and slowly pour the saline solution into the nose. Refrain from swallowing. When the saline solution reaches the back of the nasal cavities, the palate closes automatically by reflex. The saline fills the nasal cavities and proceeds to pour out the other nostril. For best result, perform this process through both nostrils. Use a tissue to blow out any remaining saline in your nose. Some of the saline can remain in the nose and trickle out later. Tilting your head forward and turning side to side immediately after rinsing can prevent this. *Important facts about the saline solution: Use distilled or sterilized water. The saline solution should be at or close to body temperature. Once mixed, use the saline solution within 24 hours or did. The saline solution has the same salt content as the human body (0.9%) - this is called a physiological (or isotonic) saline solution. Note: The proper salt/water ratio of the saline solution is VERY IMPORTANT! If too much salt is used (hypertonic), slight stinging may be felt.
